Every game on this site is free to start, shows no ads, and works without an account. A $5 monthly key subscription unlocks the later parts of some games. An account is optional. It lets you keep your progress, play on more than one device, earn badges and appear on the shared boards.

Playing as a guest

With an account

You sign in with your email address and a one-time code we email you. There is no password. We keep:

What other players see: your player name, number and avatar, and your scores, accuracy and chain on the boards. Nothing else.

What we never do: sell or share your data, show ads, track you across other sites, or run analytics on you.

Subscribing to the key

The Lucid Lux key is a subscription: $5 a month, charged by Stripe until you cancel. Payment happens on Stripe's checkout page, not on this site. Stripe handles your card and the email address you give it under its own privacy policy; we never see your card number.

After you subscribe, our key service asks Stripe whether that checkout was paid and until when the subscription is paid, then hands your browser a signed key. The key holds the date it was made, its paid-through date and the checkout reference it renews from. Every few weeks your browser asks the key service to renew it; the service checks with Stripe that the subscription is still running and nothing else. The key is saved in your browser and is not tied to your game account.

Cancel anytime from the "Manage or cancel" link on the key page, which opens Stripe's customer page. When a subscription ends, its key stops working a few days after the last paid-through date.

Before the button works you choose an age range. It is added to an anonymous tally of three numbers (under 13, 13 to 17, 18 and older) and is not stored with you or your key. Subscribing is for adults: under 18, the button stays off and asks you to have a parent or guardian subscribe.

Under 13

Accounts are for players 13 and older. If you tell us you are under 13, we do not ask for an email address, and you keep playing as a guest with everything saved on your device.

Research

None of your play is used for research unless you choose to take part. That choice is off for everyone and is not offered yet; if it is offered, it will say what is used and why, and you can turn it off again.

Where it is kept

Account data is stored with our database provider, Supabase, on servers in the United States. Sign-in codes are sent by an email delivery service. The sign-in system belongs to these games alone; no other site shares it.

Deleting your account

In any game, open your account and choose Delete my account. Your name, saved progress, rounds, badges, placings and sign-in record are removed at once and cannot be recovered. Sign out on this device keeps the account; resetting a game on a signed-in device signs you out there first, so the account keeps its progress.
